The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 and produce sparks 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
