The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 and produce sparks 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
