The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat). Sent down in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
