The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
