The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
The (Day) of Noise and Clamour: 1 What is the startling calamity? 2 And what do you know what the Calamity is? 3 It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed, 4 and the mountains shall be like fluffs of carded wool in varying colours. 5 So for one whose scales prove heavy, 6 shall live in a life which is pleasing, 7 But he whose deeds are lighter in the balance 8 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, 9 And what do you know what that is? 10 It is the scorching fire. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
