The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The Calamity! 1 What is the striking (Hour)? 2 What shall let you know what the Clatterer is! 3 (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, 4 and the mountains shall be like plucked wool-tufts. 5 Then as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be heavy, 6 will have a most pleasing life. 7 But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,- 8 He is in the lap of one that abases. 9 And what can make you know what that is? 10 Raging Fire. 11
