The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 What is the terrible calamity! 2 Would that you knew what the Clatterer is! 3 The day on which men shall be as scattered moths, 4 and the mount-ains like tufts of carded wool. 5 Then, as for him whose scales are heavy (with good works), 6 He shall live a pleasant life. 7 But as for one whose scales are light, 8 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, 9 And what shall make thee know that which she is? 10 A burning fire. 11
