The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The Calamity! 1 What is the Striking? 2 What shall Make thee know that which the Striking is? 3 (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, 4 and the mountains like tufts of carded wool. 5 Then, as for him whose scales are heavy (with good works), 6 He is therefore in the desired bliss. 7 whereas he whose weight is light in the balance 8 His dwelling shall be the Abyss. 9 And what shall teach thee what is the Pit? 10 Raging Fire. 11
