The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
OH, the sudden calamity! 1 What is the startling calamity? 2 And what will explain to thee what the (Day) of Noise and Clamour is? 3 The day on which men shall be as scattered moths, 4 And the mountains shall be as loosened wool. 5 Those whose good deeds will weigh heavier (on the scale) 6 Will be in a life of good pleasure and satisfaction. 7 but those whose good deeds will be lighter (on the scale). 8 Will have the Abyss for abode. 9 And what have you understood, what the one that abases is! 10 It is a Fire, intensely hot. 11
