The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

OH, the sudden calamity! 1 What is the startling calamity? 2 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Calamity is! 3 It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about, 4 And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up. 5 So for one whose scales prove heavy, 6 He will live a pleasant life (in Paradise). 7 But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,- 8 shall plunge in the womb of the Pit. 9 And what will make you know what it is? 10 A flaming fire! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
