The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

The (Day) of Noise and Clamour: 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 On that Day people shall become like scattered moths 4 And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up. 5 Then he whose deeds weigh heavy in the Scale 6 shall inherit a pleasing life, 7 But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,- 8 will have hawiyah as their dwelling. 9 And what will explain to thee what this is? 10 (It is) a Fire which is extremely hot. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
