The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
OH, the sudden calamity! 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 And what will explain to thee what the (Day) of Noise and Clamour is? 3 The day when men will be like scattered moths. 4 And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up. 5 Then as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be heavy, 6 will live a pleasant life, 7 But as for him whose scales are light, 8 Will have the Abyss for abode. 9 What will convey to you what this is like? 10 Raging Fire. 11
