The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The Calamity! 1 What is the Calamity? 2 And what will make you know what the striking (Hour) is? 3 The day that men shall be like scattered moths, 4 And the mountains will be like carded wool, 5 And then, he whose weight [of good deeds] is heavy in the balance 6 Will be in a life of good pleasure and satisfaction. 7 And as for him whose balances are light, 8 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, 9 And what do you know what that is? 10 A flaming fire! 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
