The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Al-Qari'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection), 1 What is the crash? 2 What shall let you know what the Clatterer is! 3 A Day on which human beings would be like so many scattered moths, 4 And mountains will be like flying wool. 5 So for one whose scales prove heavy, 6 shall find himself in a happy state of life; 7 but he whose weight is light in the Scale, 8 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, 9 And what have you understood, what the one that abases is! 10 A flaming fire! 11
