Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 Nay! you shall soon know, 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Yes certainly, if you had believed with certainty, you would not have craved for wealth. 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8
