Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
