Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Abundance diverts you, 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
