Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you visit the graves. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
