Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 until you come to the graves. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Yes certainly, if you had believed with certainty, you would not have craved for wealth. 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: Hoarding (Al-Takaathur). Sent down in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
