Al-Takaathur
Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Again, no indeed; but soon you shall know. 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
