Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 until you reach your graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
