Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8
