Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 till you reached the grave. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Nay, but ye will come to know! 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
