Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8
