Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The craving for ever-greater worldly gains and to excel others in that regard keeps you occupied 1 until you visit the graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8

Almighty Allah's Truth.
