Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you reach your graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
