Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

Almighty Allah's Truth.
