Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 until you visit the graves. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 Yes certainly, if you had believed with certainty, you would not have craved for wealth. 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
