Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

Almighty God's Truth.
