Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 until you come to the graves. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, you will be called to account for all the bounties you enjoyed. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
