Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
