Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
