Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you reach your graves. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that Day, you will be called to account for all the bounties you enjoyed. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
