Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 Nay! you shall soon know, 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
