Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God), 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 Again, yes certainly, you will soon realise! 4 Yes certainly, if you had believed with certainty, you would not have craved for wealth. 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
