Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
