Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 Again, yes certainly, you will soon realise! 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
