Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 until you come to the graves. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 You will be shown hell 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
