Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 You shall know. 3 Again, yes certainly, you will soon realise! 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8
