Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 until you visit the graves. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
