Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 until you reach your graves. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then, on that Day, you will be called to account for all the bounties you enjoyed. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
