Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
