Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
