Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 until you reach your graves. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
