Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 You shall know. 3 Again, yes certainly, you will soon realise! 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
