Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you visit the graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Again, no indeed; but soon you shall know. 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
