Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
