Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 until you come to the graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
