Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
