Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The craving for ever-greater worldly gains and to excel others in that regard keeps you occupied 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Nay! you shall soon know, 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8
